No mess, no fuss trying to save him from self-destructing. you get the whistle after you escape from fort joy and talk to the cat. Once you have the whistle, use it to bring him back whenever you wish. Gywdian will defeat the ranger on his own and then run back to the camp where the family members are waiting. Originally posted by treuhander: Yeah the cat can die. But I heard guards kill it, and I know that's the intent in the release version. It is a vast, epic RPG in which you take on the role of a captured Sourcerer, teaming up with fellow captives to escape the prison island you find yourself on and venture forth to seek your destiny. Each time you play, youll find new things to do and fun alternate ways to handle situations. You can even bring the cat the teleport-route, as long as you remember to teleport the cat down to you (you will lose some attitude with the cat, but that does not matter when it becomes a skill/pet). Here are few things that you can do to ensure that the Black Cat can stay alive while you escort it. 1 Wrothbog 4:22am does the cat actually die i just stop noticing it's existence and figure it must have wandered off 2 Morsk 4:23am I also just stopped noticing it. Divinity: Original Sin 2 will keep you entertained for hours. If you fail to bring the cat one way, just backtrack and chose another exit (no need to reload saves). Meanwhile, Gywdian and the Magister Ranger will be fighting each other back on the rig. To save the Black Cat in Divinity 2 you will have to escort the cat out of Fort Joy successfully and bring it to The Hollow Marshes, doing this can be a bit problematic as you have no control over the cat. The voidwoken will not spawn as long as you do NOT approach the wooden rig with any of your party members after the magisters turn hostile (keep them all around the the Quartermaster tent area). Then, using ONLY your main character, climb the rig and teleport both the main Magister and the Magister Knight as close to the area where your other party members are and then use a jump spell (like Cloak & Dagger) to join them and kill those two magisters (the magisters will turn hostile after being teleported). It will follow the first party member it sees, so if there is more than one person in the party, who the cat will follow will need to be decided prior to approaching the area, and that character should be the first to enter. The Black Cat is a resident of Fort Joy and is first encountered on the Fort Joy beach. Here's my recipe: position all party members except your main near the tent where Quartermaster Anna is located. Black Cat is a cat wandering on Fort Joy beach in 1242 AD. It's entirely possible to complete this quest (save Gwydian) without initiating the fight with the extremely annoying voidwoken blobs.
